TEAL Secure+ Edition

TEAL Secure+ Edition is comprised of the standard Enterprise Edition with additional modules for the secure encrypted storage and export of email data, along with TEAL's KeyStore Manager that allows for the archiving of emails encrypted at the desktop via S/MIME. (Please enquire for support of other encryption standards, e.g. PGP.)

Features

• IMAP Email Import

  Import historical emails from IMAP accessible mailboxes. TEAL can automatically synchronise with configured external email accounts, downloading any new emails and automatically importing into them into the archive. Emails in the archive retain knowledge of where they were imported from, allowing for account or folder specific searching.

• POP3 Email Import

  Import historical emails from POP3 accessible mailboxes. TEAL can automatically synchronise with configured external email accounts, downloading any new emails and automatically importing into them into the archive. Emails in the archive retain knowledge of where they were imported from, allowing for account or folder specific searching.

• Email Intercept & Import

  TEAL's Interceptor plug-ins for popular email infrastructure such as Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, Sendmail, Posfix guarantee that all emails sent and received by that email infrastructure is transparently captured and copied to the TEAL Archive in real-time.

• Import Filtering

  TEAL can be configured to select which emails to import into the archive based on any number of filter rules, such as domain name, specific account(s) or content types. This allows the TEAL Archive to selectively capture a subset of your network email traffic for archiving and management.

• PostgreSQL Database Index

  By default TEAL ships with the enterprise grade PostgreSQL open-source database engine, allowing for a low start-up cost without sacrificing search or indexing performance.

• Enterprise Database Index

  Utilise popular enterprise database infrastructure such as Oracle Database or Microsoft SQL Server to store the TEAL email index on, leveraging your existing enterprise database investments.

• Standard Email Archive

  TEAL's Standard Email Archive driver splits emails up into composite parts (body, attachments etc.) and ensures that identical parts are only stored once, greatly reducing email storage requirements in organisations that have many copies of identical attachments transmitted over email.

• Compressed Email Archive

  TEAL's Compressed Email Archive Driver works hard to identify redundant information amongst email headers, body and attachments by aggressively compressing similar email data to minimise the storage footprint of your organisational email archive.

• Encrypted Email Archive

  TEAL's Encrypted Email Archive Driver uses asymmetric keys to encrypt all emails stored in the archive. This ensures sensitive email contents are safely protected, even from system administrators, forcing all access to the unencrypted contents through TEAL's security and auditing layers.

• Access Manager

  TEAL's Access Manager allows organisations to setup fine-grained access controls to the data in their archives, allowing individuals access to their either personal emails, group emails or domain level emails. This allows the email archive to be segregated into different logical views based on the user's access rights.

• Access Auditor

  All TEAL system access can be subject to auditing controls that record who accesses which emails in the archive. Auditor records are fully searchable by authorised system administrators to highlight user access patterns.

• Directory Authentication Plug-in

  Whilst Access Manager comes with it's own user management implementation out of the box, it can also be integrated with populare enterprise Directory infrastructure such as Microsoft Active Directory, SunOne Directory Server, Novell e-Directory or OpenLDAP.

• Email Discovery

  TEAL's rich "Email Perspective" web based query interface allows users to defined sophisticated views of the email archive that allow them to quickly hone in on relevant emails. Perspectives can be saved, re-used and even combined in any number of relationships to expand or narrow search criteria. TEAL can search on all email header information (subject, distribution, size, priority, date etc.) as well as perform lightning quick full-text content searching across email content and attachments.

• Email Bundle & Export

  TEAL's Bundle & Export capability allows users to select relevant emails in the archive for export as portable self-extracting "Bundle Files" for local storage or storage in an external file or document management system.

• Encrypted Email Bundle & Export

  TEAL's Encrypted Bundle & Export capability allows for bundles to be exported as encrypted content, protecting access to those emails unless a user password, supplied during bundle creation, is provided when extracting the bundle.

• Encrypted Email Import

  TEAL Secure+ Edition allows for the import of S/MIME encrypted emails into the archive, using the local KeyStore Manager. Emails remain encrypted on disk using the Encrypted Email Archive driver, but the contents are decrypted to build up the search indexes, ensuring that even sensitive encrypted email contents can be searched and retrieved in TEAL by appropriately authorised end users.

• KeyStore Manager

  TEAL Secure+ Edition allows for the import of S/MIME encrypted emails into the archive, using the local KeyStore Manager. The KeyStore Manager provides web based tools for users to import their keys into TEAL for securely decrypting their S/MIME encrypted emails in the TEAL Archive.
